I have been with DirecTV for 3 years.

I got 2 TV hookups. The sports package and the EXTRA package

Costs
Year 1: $45 with NFL Sunday Ticket and 3 months HBO, MAX, SHO, TMC, ENC
Year 2: $90 - they get Ya on the second year.

Did a 1 year renewal
Year 3: $66 with 3 months HBO, MAX, SHO, TMC, ENC

NOW Going to do a 1 year renewal probably
Year 4: $60 with the perks (3 months HBO, MAX, SHO, TMC, ENC and hopefully NFL Sunday Tickets). Probably going to be $65 with tax.

Anybody having a similar experience with DirecTV or Dish?

Just curious. I know they beat cable 10 ways to Sunday in terms of cost and reliability in my area.

Cable and dish both use low promo prices to lure you in, then hope you don't notice the huge jump 12 months later Both have their pros and cons. Weather not as much of a problem with cable. If you get IDENTICAL channels, If you're happy with what you have, cable or dish, that's all that matters.
