I like daylight savings time. When visiting Japan wished they did it for the summer at least. Sun rises at 4:30 or so and sets at maybe 7:30 iirc? Would like an hour forward with that.

As an IT person, I can very clearly remember the last time DST was adjusted, right around 2007....endless firmware updates, patches, checks, etc....please leave it alone, I don't feel like going through that again.

I think it was an old Native American proverb or observation....only a white man can take a foot off the top of blanket, sew it to the bottom of the same blanket and think he has more blanket.

Yes!!! Exactly. Just pick one. DST probably makes more sense, I agree.
Crazy fact, that not everyone my be familiar with but, if a state chooses, as Hawaii and Arizona already do, states can stay on standard time.

Only if a state would choose to make the savings time (March to November) permanent would it need to get congressional approval.

I heard the Nebraska state legislature is considering a bill to lock in standard time, but it is contingent on neighboring states also opting in. So it doesn't sound like it will happen.

They not like golf in Nebraska ?
I think it's just some politicians hearing complaints and going after low hanging fruit. But I'm just going off what I heard and I refuse to look into it further. Maybe it's the other way around.

Since we are arbitrarily changing what time it is, and just sprung forward, can we not fall back 1/2 hour and leave it? I hate fall back as it's dark too early. I'd rather start working in the dark and have some sunshine when I'm off

Would be wild if it was standard time . Parts of Nebraska would be pacific time zone in the spring/summer

I think it helps the trades who need the sunlight and still have the ability to have a normal schedule. I don’t get the fuss to be honest?

I want permanent daylight savings time.
But would settle for not having to change clocks.

I prefer standard. I don't think it'll happen no matter which bill would pass because in both cases neighboring states would have to adopt as well to some degree

That would be crazy seeing Chadron, NE being the same time as Los Angeles
