OT: Dauphin Island Cell Service

The family is headed to Dauphin Island for the first time this summer. Some work will need to be done while down there. Can anyone give a recent report on cell service (specifically AT&T and C Spire) on the island? Thanks

Can’t comment on cell service, but if anyone wants to throw in fishing reports it would be much appreciated. Be there this week. Sorry for the hijack

Cspire gets decent coverage, we go there several times during the summer to camp. Don’t know about other services. As far as fishing, it should be good. All the fresh water shouldn’t affect the fishing there. I haven’t done much inshore there, that’s where we always launch for snapper/cobia

Cell service is fine. Surely the place you’re renting has WiFi too.

DI is a great spot to hit for a fishing launching spot. But if you’re teaming that with a beach trip I suggest going to Orange Beach. The water is brown at DI because the Mobile River flows out of the Bay there.

Went fishing yesterday out of Fort Morgan. Red snapper season begins June 1. We could not get past the snapper to get anything else. Caught so many snapper we got tired of pulling them in. Hated to keep throwing them back. Saw some boats at dock that did well with cobia. You should be fine with whatever you are looking for.

My mother lives on the island. She has at&t and has great service. Once off the island towards mobile, it blows.
