I watched the game and his team lost because they can’t shoot. The refs were not the reason and even if they were it’s such a classless thing to say right in front of his team. He certainly didn’t inherit any class from his dad

Looked like it was a fairly ref’d game, couple of questionable calls thought they went both ways kind of ebbed and flowed. Fla missed a ton of free throws like less Than 60%. Biggest issue Fla. made shots in the last 3 minutes UConn didn’t.
Think he was referring to Courtney Greene - who I believe no longer refs in the Big 10.

Yes it is. I played with Danny for many years. Still see him in the summers at his house in sea girt. I know the family and their antics well. They are competitive to a fault and have no problem bullying people.

Jay Wright while coaching at Villanova stated he visited St.Benedict Prep in Newark while Danny Hurley was head coach and teacher.He stated on CBS Hurley ran a very organized practice teaching basic fundamentals.While at Rutgers under Bannon Hurley also ran most of the practice drills.Bottom line he is a great college coach who has problems controlling his emotions.I will take his antics over the mediocrity seen at Rutgers for over 30 years.

Yea there were only 4 referee crews in the state “allowed” to be assigned to his games. Bob didn’t mince words and didn’t shy away from the same antics Danny is being chided for in this thread.
As I expected! Do some home work on Mr Hurley a great great great HS coach. More intense than anyone. He has his moments as well. If you bump into him ask him about the “asterisk game”.
