As the 7 overall seed the Cards were paired with the 2 seed if both made it to Omaha. Davidson knocked 2 seed UNC out last week. Texas A&M beat Davidson in the supers so the Cards play Texas A&M first next week in Omaha. The first half of the World Series is just like the regionals: Four teams play a double-elimination tournament to make the best two out of three finals. The other two teams will on the Cards side of the bracket will be TCU or Missouri State (TCU leads 1-0) and Florida or Wake Forest (Florida leads 1-0).

It's like having to do what we just did then in winning a regional and then a super regional. I've always liked the double elimination format. It's fair and exciting but you definitely don't want to lose that first game in the 4 team.
