Lacking depth and funds apparently. With the COVID kids all gone we need to develop the old way again.
Lost three to the portal, and hoping the Lafayette kid can fill the LT spot this year.
Remember, a few OL guys left through the portal. Instead of relying on walk-ons or young players, you build depth with experienced FCS kids.
Our best OL from 4 years ago was an FCS LT transfer who ended up in the league with the Carolina Panthers.
He's rated very highly. It's a very good get.
So you'd feel better with a RT coming off 2 consecutive injury years or a younger player with no LT experience?
It's certainly better than what we've seen in the past: inexperienced guys playing out of position or being switched to offense from defense.
