By advancing to the CWS in 2022, they still have been twice in the last 50 years. (1972, 2014, 2022)

Yeah... I know, I’m grasping at something we can laugh about. But, this is a fact. It does stink but they did earn it, we didn’t. Hopefully we’ll be back in the hunt next year.

Would you have rather Ole Miss stayed at home or Tennessee stayed at home? I wanted both.

They got there the same way we did when we won the Super at Virginia, didn’t they. Played themselves out of a regional host, then won 5 games to go to Omaha. Like Daddy, like little brother.

We hosted a regular regional in 2013 before beating Virginia. We were a 1 seed (but not a national seed).

Interesting tidbit: Ole Miss made the CWS in 1972, 2014, and 2022; exactly one season after MSU made it; 1971, 2013 and 2021.

I’m happy to stick with the fact that we were the only team last year that won the CWS. Gonna hang on to that until I have no marbles left.

State is also the only school whose men's basketball team, women's basketball team, soccer team, and volleyball team didn't make the NCAA Tournament last year, but still managed to win the CWS.

Why even post that 17-ing BS?
Some people I do believe just like being internet cowboys/prima donnas or fools or a combination of all 3.
