For a 10 team league, you need 1 or 2 elite teams, 3-4 good teams, 1-2 average teams & then your bottom feeders. For a 12 team league, you would stretch that out to 3-4 average teams. And for the 14 team leagues, you would stretch that out to 4-6 average teams.Right now the Big 12 is hard to gauge. Baylor has played some high school teams, so we don't know anything about them yet. Without seeing more games from Mizzou, I'm not sure what WVU has just yet. I would say we are definitely above average at this point, but I definitely wouldn't put us in the elite status. Oklahoma has played 2 really good teams, so I wouldn't call them average just yet. Texas has no defense, so I'm not sure if they are good or perhaps average. Kansas State is a typical old man river team. Tough as nails & won't back down from anyone. Far from elite though.TCU is above average, but their defense keeps them out of elite status. Oklahoma State is probably above average, but that loss to CMU is going to hurt their reputation.  Texas Tech is outrageous on offense & just offensive on defense. I'd say they are the textbook definition of average, but could beat just about anyone in the league on any given day. Then you have your bottom feeders in ISU & Kansas.So I would say that the Big 12 is a step below the other power 5 leagues, mainly because there are no elite teams. That is the difference between the Big 12 & the rest of the conferences. The ACC has Clemson & Louisville. The SEC has Alabama. The Big Ten has Ohio State & maybe Michigan. The PAC 12 has Stanford. The Big 12 doesn't have any elite teams. Mostly a bunch of good & average teams with 2 bottom feeders.</blockquote>
