Orgeron now wants to coach again. Possibly because his ex-wife got half of his buy-out in their divorce. As LSU’s old ball coach Orgeron said, which door do you want me to go out and how fast?

He's getting $15 for sitting on his *** the next couple years. Maybe he goes the Dana H. route? It will be interesting to see if Gundy gets any interest from a Power 4 school looking for a head coach after the season. My guess is not this year, but maybe in two or three years.
Gundy played it smart. The old Callahan method. Wait it out until they fire you. Collect the cash.As LSU’s old ball coach Orgeron said, which door do you want me to go out and how fast?
I'd say it's very likely. Fans don't forget excellence.Would they possibly be interested in Dana? They had prolific offenses with him.

gundy was a class actI remember when Callahan was the coach and OSU played us in Lincoln in I think? a homecoming game. The score was 38-0 at halftime and Gundy more or less called the dogs off.
Jaylen Lloyd can go pound sand. The NCAA football transfer portal will open for 30 days for Oklahoma State players -- inlcuding former Gretna QB Zane Flores, Omaha Westside WR Jaylen Lloyd and Oakland-Craig OL Grant Seagren -- with the school parting ways with head coach Mike Gundy.
We don't, and that is why our fan base needs to relax. We are going to have to be very strategic in building our team and also being good at development. We just are not going to compete at the top tier level when it comes down to money. We are not in a bad position by any means, but also not near the top due to a lack of donors. He failed in the NIL era because Okie State no longer has the money. There is a lesson in this for NU. Ohio State won the title last year because they bought a lot of talent. Oregon is loaded for the same reason. The era of "developmental programs" is over. Unless NU is able to find that kind of cash to buy the best talent then we will continue to be a mid level B1G program. I think Daneen and Rhule know this. It is not rocket science and I am not saying anything beyond the obvious. So the only question is, do we have that kind of cash in our donor base?
Just our luck that one of the richest men in the world went to NU and still lives in the state, and apparently he has no interest in donating to the school’s NIl fund.We don't, and that is why our fan base needs to relax. Need some former grads to become billionaires that are as rabid as we are about football.
Things will change after this year with revenue sharing going into effect and NIL being abolished(at least legally). Everyone in theory will be capped at around $20 million. This year is screwy because the likes of TT, Oregon, OSU, USC, and Texas all double dipped before this ruling went into effect on July 1st.We don't, and that is why our fan base needs to relax. Do the bagmen return? Will teams deploying the bagmen regain their "competitive advantage"?Things will change after this year with revenue sharing going into effect and NIL being abolished(at least legally). I imagine so. Why would anyone abide by the $20 million cap if outside sources are willing to divvy out the cash.Do the bagmen return? Will teams deploying the bagmen regain their "competitive advantage"?
I am sure many will continue to double dip.Things will change after this year with revenue sharing going into effect and NIL being abolished(at least legally). I thought the $20 million was just a number that the university itself could provide, and outside sources were still unlimited?I imagine so. Why would anyone abide by the $20 million cap if outside sources are willing to divvy out the cash.
Yes...that is correct.I thought the $20 million was just a number that the university itself could provide, and outside sources were still unlimited?

But but...marriage!Exactly the reason out of the blue this coaching itch came about.
nfl pays more than college and coaches don't have to put up with recruiting b.s. so i can see why the league would be preferred. that happens for robinson, then guys like bobby petrino and jon sumrall come into play.If Atlanta’s offense looks decent by the end of the year he’ll be getting NFL calls
There is supposed to be a “clearinghouse” that authenticates third party NIL deals to make sure these deal are not “pay to play”. What constitutes a legitimate deal from a pay to play I do not know.I thought the $20 million was just a number that the university itself could provide, and outside sources were still unlimited?
NIL isn't going to be going away..Things will change after this year with revenue sharing going into effect and NIL being abolished(at least legally).
