up way too early and thinking....with OU, OSU, Tulsa and ORU all in different conferences soon, would it draw enough interest to restart the All College Tournament featuring these teams for the always important State of Oklahoma Championship? i think it would be fun to watch with instate recruiting decisions hanging in the background.

Way to easy for those of us on the outside looking in for that to ever happen. Seems like a common sense type of thing on way too many Fronts; good gate revenue, play in front of your fan base, no travel expense, everyone gets to sleep in their own bed, supports our state economy, etc.. See, too many benefits for it to ever happen….
When it started in the 1930s the All College Tournament had 16 and then 32 teams. In the mid 1960s I remember listening on the radio in the Pittsburgh area when Duquesne University played in the All College. At that time there were 8 teams in the field. The All College was cut to only 4 teams in 1981.
OU & OSU have already indicated they will quit playing their annual football game when OU heads to the SEC. I haven’t heard about their future basketball games, but incorporating an annual game into an in-state basketball tournament does sound like a great idea! I also think that alternating the tournament between Tulsa and OKC would make it even better.

They must not remember 1981-1984.
Don’t ever legitimize ORU by including them in a tournament with other state schools. They should always be a pariah.
That's why I tried to kick them out at first and add Arkansas instead but we have some Oklahoma purists I was trying to appease. Trust me I don't want them there either lol
