I suppose it's subjective in many ways of the definition of what quality is in a coach.He does some nice things, I like the fire in him albeit out of control at times. But he doesn't seem to fight at the end of certain games at times as in using timeouts instead of taking them home with him. There's been a few games in the past several years where we were down by more than one possession with three to four minutes left. Nearly hopeless but still. you don't quit like that. He took all three timeouts with him at the end. Inexcusable as far as I'm concerned.Another thing, I like how he's adapted the running game more into his plans but there still seems to be that one track mind business of chucking it deep in either short yardage situations on 3rd or 4th down or when its 2nd and 18 like it was against TCU on that last possession. We needed first downs and nickel and dime them down the field. Now it's 3rd and 18 and almost completely behind the eight ball. He doesn't play to move the sticks enough. Overall though, DH aside, I think our program is far advanced to the point we don't need to be hiring on the job training coaches anymore. Just as a general statement and not a shot at DH.People keep talking about improvements. Yes, the record has improved each year for the past several but real improvement is to be consistent with 8 to 9 win seasons and the occasional double digit season. I know what our history says about wins but we've never been in this high profile of a conf. before. DH has earned time but it's not limitless as far as I see it.</blockquote>
