We need to play mistake free to win, so we will probably lose.

No we won’t cover. Seriously, and not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but I doubt this game is still close by halftime. My guess is we will lose by 35 or so.

I wish that weren’t how I think. Somebody please organize an intervention to give me a different perspective.

It’s easy to think that way after the way they played last night...

I’d like to think we’ll be with in 10 entering the fourth quarter..

The only way that is possible is if our defense plays with their hair on fire. This is one game we better hope our defense shows up or this will get ugly fast. I doubt our offense has many, if any, long drives. And more than likely, we will have several three and outs, penalties, and turnovers. If OSU then shreds our defense we will be in for one of those ugly nights with a demoralizing beat down.

I agree...Emotion will help at the start...but it will only help so much and last for so long.

I’m afraid it will be like watching last year’s Michigan game - possibly worse...

I would have guessed a -21 to -24 opening line.

This one is begging for Nebraska money. Could be closer than everyone thinks. GBR

Just go out and execute. And moreso, take advantage of them if they’re having a bad day. They are not invincible.

Or we go out and get drilled.

I’ll be watching.

If that is the case then SF is wrong how much better of a team we have now compared to last year at this time...

Just saying.
Not necessarily. I think Ohio State is better this year than last. I also think they just played a poor game against us last year. Took us too lightly. They won’t this year.

Hope that the D is salty enough, long enough, to keep us within striking distance before the time runs out on the O to get it going.

You are miss understanding me.. I know Ohio State is better this year, Fields brings another element to their offensive game but we played them in November.. Yes, they did take us lightly

I’m judging last years team to this year team at this point entering game 5...

It was a year ago today we lost 56-10 against Michigan heading into the Purdue game.

We’re better on both sides of the ball it wasn’t till Farmer took over at center before the offensive line was a better unit..

Amazingly I think Ohio st is actually better than last year. I think we are worse at this point vs when we played them last year. I agree I want to be positive, but I am a very realistic logical person and everything is pointing to this being a blowout.

When Nebraska played Ohio State last season the Huskers were allowing 440 yards and 35 points per game. They literally are vastly improved in every possible statistical category.....

except FG kicking and fumbles... yuck

I think our offense was a little better last year at that time than it is right now. Kicking worlds better last year. Defense definitely better this year.

Slowing down Dobbins is the key to making this game competitive. He can’t average 8 ypc. It needs to be more in the 4.5 ypc like Florida Atlantic held him to.

Passing game is averaging almost 3 yards more per attempt. That's equating to almost 50 more yard and 10 more points per game.

And that's in spite of a fumbling epidemic and an inept kicking game.

When was the last time our kicking situation was this bad?

If only I could remember how we did last year? Can someone remind me please? There is a reason we play the games you know.
