Don't mean to hijack, but the resemblance between Donald Duck and the Oregon Duck is not coincidental. Originally, Donald Duck WAS the Oregon mascot. Walt Disney gave permission in 1947, and a licensing agreement is still in place. However, over the years the Oregon Duck has been modified somewhat, to give it its own identity and personality.
