The weather is nasty in Evanston tonight, but it looks like the Cats will draw a decent crowd for the Big Ten-ACC Challenge matchup with Wake Forest tonight. Even Teddy G. is here tonight.

These are two of the best 3-point shooting teams in the country. Both teams lead their conferences and Wake ranks 10th in the nation at 43.9 percent while NU ranks 14th at 43.5.

Wake is 5-1 and has rung up some impressive victory margins, but they have only played one Big Six team -- No. 3 Villanova -- which hung their only loss on them. Their wins are against Radford, Bucknell, UTEP, Charleston and Coastal Carolina. Not exactly Murderer's Row.

We'll see if NU's more difficult non-conference schedule pays dividends tonight.

Joey Meyer just said on the radio that a dozen scouts are here to see John Collins of Wake Forest. Sounds like a good chance for Law. If Trevor Siemian can quarterback a winning NFL team, anything is possible.

He's 6-10 and averaging 18.8 and 8.5 as a sophomore, so that doesn't surprise me. They have scout seating right behind me on press row. There's one guy that looks like a scout right now, but I'm sure the rest of them are here somewhere.

Man, it took Lindsey all of 2:04 to pick up his second foul and go to the bench.

Collins certainly looks like an NBA prospect early in this one. He's very athletic, a quick jumper with some skills.

Sanjay is holding his own against the 6-10 dork he's matched with. Mac needs to break out of his slump tonight.

Lindsey's back in after the under 12 timeout. He can't pick up another one before the half.

Benson in for real minutes against an ACC team ...

Wake is a deep team. I think Collins wants to spread the minutes out, especially early. Skelly is getting a lot of minutes too.

In major foul trouble. Not hustling on D or boards.

NU and Wake each have seven fouls. So, not really. That's certainly a lot of fouls with 7 minutes left, but when the other team matches it...meh.

Wake is the No. 10 team in the nation in 3-point shooting. Tonight they are 1-8.

That 2nd foul on Collins was huge. Changed the game.

BMac is literally just heaving it up there.
Not a pretty first half, but only down 1 but that Collins kid sat a good 8 minutes

Law is a pro prospect! Lindsay is special and we need him in the second half! Brown makes too many mistakes. We need to make sure we distribute the ball pass it around
