We don't have guys that can create their own 3 opportunities so it has to come from ball movement, Francis can get in the lane to dish but whether he does is another story. We all knew what kind of offense this would look like. Need more Zrno, doesn't hesitate and has a quick release.
Its due to poor offensive coaching. Not a lot of movement from players and attempting to get open rather just moving to spots. Sucks but been like this forever under Pike as he prefers high PnR and ISO ball. Also watch how far into the shot clock we get with our "offense" and you will realize why so many 2s due to timing. Its all abysmal
If we can’t pull the plug, it’s clear as a bell and has been for awhile that our AD(now Kelli) needs to tell him he needs to make a change with his assistants and bring in an offensive coordinator. No one argues that generally through the years he’s produced solid defensive numbers. It always been our offense. With his offense, mostly ISO, he needs shot makers. He had them with Geo, Ron and of course Dylan and Ace. Without outstanding shooter you need to run an offense to create layups and open jumpers. Over his 10 years he doesn’t bring in a couple great shooters every year. In Geo and Ron he found players virtually nobody wanted. Credit to him for finding diamonds in the rough, but let’s face it, that is difficult to duplicate. We need off ball movement and strong cuts to the bucket and players that can pass. Of course you need at least 3 guys that can and will bury 3’s. You need basketball players more than athletes. Yes I understand the need for athleticism(defense, rebounding) but you have to be able to play THIS game.
Or how about RU make 40% from midrange then lose to Tenn by 10-15 and beat ND by 10-15.

With better defense of the 3 and so many shots blocked at the rim, teams are going to have to become proficient at the mid range game.
Oh ya someone just tell them to do that.
In fact, why stop at 40%?
They should shoot 100% and just win all the games.
You seem to be completely missing the point.
You have to be an elite shooting team to be successful taking a lot of midrange shots.
Not only are we not elite - we arent even good.
You make no sense. Shoot 100%? You don’t have to be elite to make 40% of 5-15 footers.
