I thought about this when we did the Mary Ellen Jones Building 9 years ago but never followed through.

Any of y’all live in Odum while at Carolina? I’m the PM for the abatement/demo contractor starting the next round of demo next week. If anyone wants a brick from it let me know. If there was a specific building you lived in that was not part of the first group that have already been demolished, I can get you one from that specific building.

I’m not an alum, but a lifelong fan. I take a lot of pride in the work we’ve done and will do for the school.

I lived there from 7 to 11 years old, or so. But those memories aren't so great

I was a kid in the very first building at corner of Hibbard and Manning 1970-73. Dad was in law school and mom worked as a nurse. Don’t remember a ton (we moved when I was four years old) but have a few random memories and tons of pics. My parents look back fondly on those times. And kind of odd but I’d love to have a brick from that building.
