Should be a better game than last year. Anyone familiar with Miami’s regular season injuries could see that result coming. Utah is not good

I wouldn't underestimate Utah or any team out of the PAC 12.
From top to bottom it is by far the best conference in terms of parity.
Utah has had close losses to Top 15 teams including USC, Washington and Stanford.

Their last game they demolished a decent Colorado team.

Very good OL and DL and underrated players at the skill positions.

West Virginia will need to execute fully on offense and convert on third down to win.

Google PAC 12's bowl record the last three years.

Not really underestimating them. They’ll win by 10 or more

But this isn’t as big a mismatch as last year’s game

The Mountaineers have too many question marks going into the game against Utah. If I had to put money on the game, well I wouldn't.

If the early season Mountaineers show up then Utah is in a dog fight with a chance to lose.

It's just to difficult to predict this game.

We got over 3 weeks to get healthy and for Chuggs to get timing down with WRs. I'd take WVU especially if it's Utah -7 or more.

Our team should not take the Utes lightly. Living here in the Salt Lake area, I have watched this team closely this year... they have consistency issues with who they play. Struggled in PAC-12 play and even struggled with one of the worst BYU teams in recent history (19-13 in Provo) .

Although scores are not always indicative of how a team does, but one thing is, they are very unpredictable. They played ranked ones close to lose and others like ASU and Oregon, I was puzzled by how they lost.

One thing Gibby is going to have to work on with our D is containing Tyler Huntley. Contain him and that is about 60% of our battle won.

With The other is their defense, which is good, but also has their moments. I would treat them in much the same way as TTU's or Iowa State's defense... maybe even K-State's. They are going to come after Chuggs or Grier and their LB's are good at coverage within the middle. They will try to intercept or knock down any intermediate passes. Their back

With Spav's time at CAL, he should have an idea of what Kyle Whittingham may throw at him with defensive schemes. CAL ended up winning that game last season.

If Chuggs starts, I am not sure we will win this and if we do, it's going to be hard on old-timers hearts.
If Grier starts, we win this by 7-10 at the minimum.

Out of all the conferences the PAC 12 may not get the national reputation as a great football conference but any team in that conference can beat you.
Utah is a perfect example. Do not read too much into their record as they played the majority of the games close.
Not saying West Virginia will not win but saying that if the Mountaineers do not go into that game totally
prepared they could get blown out.
