UM gets the better game with a better name opponent which is probably the weaker opponent... UM comes out on top with the worse record... to be expected
FWIW our mods over at VolQuest have said the Citrus wanted Tenn but the SEC office talked them out of it.
Was being sarcastic. This has been the projection for something going on 3 weeks at this point.
Kidding yourself if you think head to head matters in these types of situations. They are going to Citrus because they are Michigan. Nothing wrong with that. It's what tradition, a large fanbase, past success, etc. will buy you.

NU will be shocked, I think Iowa was thinking we were the weaker opponent too last year and midway thru the 3rd quarter it was 42-7 and we had 2nd and 3rd string players in
UM got pounded by OSU in its last game losing two in second half; NU lost to Michigan but win over Stanford was best win of either team... NU got stomped at michigan but higher ranking was higher ranking... all about fan base; Indian gave the Michigan game away or they would have 4 losses - UM peaked vs. NU. NU hopefully has not peaked yet... UM Still got better deal

Fairness is not part of the bowl set up...like many other things in college athletics it is about money. Glad we are in a New Years Day bowl game, with a 10-2 regular season record and a chance to take down another SEC team. I hope the Big has a good bowl showing so the hypocrites at ESPN can continue to over hype their money conference.
Your team shouldn't even bother preparing; all they need to do is get off the bus and we'll roll over and die.
Our record against SEC teams since 2010 is a measly three wins and one double OT loss. We're clearly no match for the mighty SEC.

Its been predicted by virtually everyone. If we had been competitive against UM we would have made Citrus. I am content to relish this teams accomplishments and a victory over UT will put icing on the cake
Agreed. Florida would have been a better match-up for us. Butch Jones has done a good job with UT. Good team.
Yeah, I think if we had beaten them 38-0 instead, Mich would still jump us (assuming same records, we lose one other and they win another).

OMG: early prediction: Fitz reverts to form and completely turtles and doesn't let kickers kick off or punters actually punt. It'll be all squibs that give Tenn the ball on their 35-40 and rugby punts for a 30 yard average.
