What was that statue that can't connect past 15 yards going to do tonight? Get sacked 9 times?
Complete a downfield pass. Keep the defense honest. Some of you are so hard up over a running qb, you don’t understand that a running qb only helps if you still have a passing threat. Penn state had zero respect for TJ throwing down field. They can’t play that way with Dylan back there

How many times we going to keep firing a staff before we realize that the coach isn’t the problem? You really think nebraskas problem is that we made a bad hire 6 times in a row?
Yes, I do. Nebraska keeps making bad hire after bad hire. Since TO retired who have the Huskers had who could keep a team together and win the tough game? Solich for those of you too young to remember was a prickly individual. I remember listening to his press conference after a bad K-State loss and he was very defensive and dismissive of us fans. I do think Frank was a better coach than Callahan, Riley and Frost. I thought Bill Callahan was a bad idea. He turned out to be a good recruiter, but was totally unrelatable to the college game, players and fans. Stared at his play sheet and never looked up at the game. I thought Bo was going to be a good option. Other than not being able to beat really good teams he definitely won more game than any other coach. It wasn't in Bo's DNA, but I think if he would have laughed at himself and kissed a few babies he would have lasted longer. Living in PAC 12 country I knew how awful Mike Riley was as a coach. Terrible fit for Nebraska. I told everyone I knew in Nebraska that Riley would never work. I thought Frost was our savior. Was it his ego or did he just get lucky his first stint at UCF? Matt Rhule? What has he ever done? Always struck me as being like a poodle. Always thought he acted strangely on the sideline and still do. He always looks frantic. Is his last and one good year at Baylor there were no good teams in the Big 12 other than OU. OU was the only ranked team Baylor played that year in the regular season. He's a preacher. Talks a good game but in the end, he is an empty suit. Stats don't lie.

Hey, I don't think finding a great coach is an easy task, but until the Huskers find one, they will continue to chase their tail.

Fans just have too high of expectations.

This isn't the TO years with unlimited rosters and lower academic standards.

Expect 7/8 wins with the occasional 10 win season.
Those are realistic goals.

Even if they do they’ll never last. Recruiting is too hard here. Why would you stay here bs your own backyard

I thought the guy at halftime said it best.. something to the effect of, Nebraska has a few good players, but they just don't have the level of players that Penn State has. That was the bottom line.

Rhule is a good promoter, but not a real football coach. I'm not impressed with Dana at all this year.. I think he's had maybe 2 games that went well strategy wise. Dana's got more ego than common sense if you ask me. Butler also stuck in "NFL World" and why we can't have a rushing defense when we need it.

To me, there is still not a clear identity for the offense. Normally, there needs to be some kind identity so you recruit to it, and then execute from that same identity offensively. We didn't do that.. we recruit a statue who can't move in the pocket, and then recruit his opposite, leading to guys with much different skill sets. How are you going to run your system, with different skill set type of guys? The lack of overall planning and stewardship has led us to yet another likely 7-5 season. How is that progress? How was that worthy of an extension?

Oh yeah, and my last complaint.. when they showed the first image of Matt Rhule on the field last night, I almost threw up.. what is with this guy wearing skinny jeans, with red shoes...

Do y’all even watch the games? At what point this season was DR hitting anything downfield consistently. :ROFLMAO: This **** today was virtually identical to the Minnesota game

I’m sure with DR in the game today those endless WR screens we’ve called all year would have done something
THANK YOU! Dudes in here acting like we were throwing deep shots with Dylan all season as if we literally were not in here week after week complaining about his check downs, screens, audibles into 3 yard routes, throwing to Barney behind the LOS almost every target, missing wide open dudes that would be a TD, under throwing every deep throw.

Dylan would have had a better passing day than TJ, I believe so. But Dylan also would have been sacked 4-6 times, likely thrown a pick. Also, did we not throw a fade in the end zone last night, on 1st down? Wonder if that’s a Dylan thing or a Dana thing.
QB play is not why we lost the game last night.

Our OL and DL would have been getting their a** whipped snap after snap after snap regardless if DR was the QB or not. As far as the nonsense that "DR might have helped us win a shoot-out", that concept didn't happen when MINN was whipping our a** at the LOS scrimmage all night either.

So, be honest. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the drunkest, how drunk were you last night?
Not at all. Dylan gives us a passing threat. Penn state had no respect for our passing game. We had no chance to win running the ball. 37 passes…you think we’re better off throwing that many times with TJ than Dylan? I don’t think we would have won with Dylan but Dylan kept us in the Michigan game with his arm. This was a similar situation.

Wasn't referring to that one post, it's just the one I chose to quote.

It was a repeat of our 6 point offensive explosion at MINN when they spent all night pushing our OL and DL around with Dylan at the controls. No different.

You’re cherry picking the teams worst performance. We played usc and moved the ball well and protected. They’re just as good upfront if not better than Minnesota upfront. Maybe Dylan does get sacked and we are ineffective, but there are examples this year where that didn’t happen and Dylan was moving the offense.

USC is averaging giving up 25 ppg in conference play. We scored 17. Same as Purdue and Northwestern scored against them. Are you still drunk?

We had 14 at the half and was moving. Just going to ignore that we lost Dylan for almost the whole second half? Which is entirely my point

There were 2 worst performances, one against MINN and then last night. MINN with Dylan and a dismal, ineffective, non-scoring offense where we got pushed around on both lines all night long.
And last night in a dismal, ineffective, non-scoring offense where we got pushed around on both lines all night long.

Against MINN, we scored 6 points and were beaten by 18 points in a 3.5 point spread game, and last night with 10 points and beaten 27 points with a 9.5 point spread game. The games were the same, made no difference if it were Dylan or TJ at the helm. Night games on the road and we got drilled.

The idea that Dylan makes ANY difference last night is total bul*sh*t. Same type games, same results with both QB's.

We opened the 2nd half of the USC game going 3 and out followed by Dylan holding the ball too long and getting strip sacked. That game was going in an obvious direction, or at the very least was far from a sure thing being a one score game, but if it makes you feel better to think he would have won that game then so be it.

We both saw this offense vs usc. One moved the ball and scored points. The other didn’t. Michigan dominated us up front. We still moved the ball and scored points. Yes, that didn’t happen vs Minnesota. It may have been the case again last night. But I maintain throwing the ball 37 times with Dylan is going to be a better result than throwing 37 times with TJ. That’s it. I’m out. Go argue with a wall
