I think this a depth chart move. I think the Number of scholarships increased in VB just like Other sports.

Yeah we lose Beason and Krause. Landfair is listed as a senior who I think has a year of eligibility. The name slips me but we've got a freshman. Maybe this is insurance policy
Maybe it's just me but I don't think Larson's heart is in coaching. She still likes playing and getting the adulation from the crowd. Probably a hard thing to step away from.
Yep you can’t be a full time paid *** coach at a university and still play . Kelly Hunter and Reyes are working every day . I understand the Olympics but once she announced playing for the Omaha team I figured she was done.
I say good for her. Some people on social media, trying to throw shade at her she can always come back to coaching down the road, but the ability to play professionally is now and she has to take that.
Yep play if you still can. And it made the decision easier because of it being in Omaha .
Their last transfer was a former Big 10 Player of the Year. So she would be more in the range of the girl from San Diego State who was also an all conference player at her previous school. More of a depth piece.
We have five freshman coming in, a setter, ds/libero, middle, and two outside. Ryan Hunter one of the outsides is projected to be an opposite, the position Merritt played, but she is recovering from knee surgery so Sczech will compete with her for playing time.
Why anyone would sit on a folding chair when they could be playing somewhere is beyond me.

I wish Jordan the best and hope she finds what she is looking for/needs after her career in USA Olympic Volleyball.
Hopefully she is a stud. Nebraska has lacked a stone cold killer for awhile. I thought Beason could be that, but she disappeared at times in big spots. If NU finds a closer, to me, that will push them over the top. They are there, just need that killer to go to in crunch time.
If that was the case, why didn't they set her every single time when we were up 22-16 in the 4th against PSU? Harper is unbelievable, but still don't know if she is a stone cold killer yet.
Who the heck knows? Maybe the defense PSU was playing? She just appeared to be the best player on the court multiple times last year.
We wouldn’t be having this discussion if that back row spike didn’t have her foot barely on the line… When Penn State came back in that fourth set, Murray was in the back row. But even then, 1 inch between 23-17 and nearly impossible comeback by Penn State.
Edit: that said, you do make a pretty good point as well… She’s a killer, but maybe not Stone cold just yet. She can take over games and has taken over games, but that one got away.
She is our best player that is not the argument. I just hope she steps in as the player or we get someone that pushes us over the edge. It's literally a razor's edge on what it takes to get to a natty again. These ladies are all phenomenal, just looking for that X factor. We've just been missing that one piece that last few years.
