If that is really the score, we are in a world of trouble for the year. If things are progressing significantly this year over last. We should see a blow out in this one. 56-24 and they only get 24 because we have our 2nd and 3rd string in at the beginning of the 3rd.

Saw an AL.com article about the game and the SA fans in the comments section seemed pretty confident that they'd keep it close or make it interesting.

I told my lady friend that if we are any good this year it should be over by halftime. She is going to be disappointed if it isn't.

I gave SA 21 because we will probably have our 3rd and 4th string playing most of the 2nd half. They will get a couple of cheap touchdowns.

South Alabama has lost 6 or more games every year for the last 7 years. If they score 21 or more, we got problems.

OSU Cowboys beat these guys last year 55-13 and 44-7 the year before that...and I’d have to assume we are fairly close to being like the Cowboys.

Huskers 49 S. Bama 17......it’s 28-10 at halftime.

Adrain Martinez goes 320 passing, 110 rushing, for 4 TDs total.
Luke McCaffery throws for 100 yards 1 TD and rushes for 50 yards and 1TD...;)

63-42. Offense rolls. Defense? We don’t need no stinkin defense.

South Alabama has a dynamic tailback along with a good and experienced Defensive Line. In fact, their Dline will have more talent and experience than Colorado in week 2.... seriously.

But that's the limit to South Alabama's roster. Their secondary will be a mess. Talent wise, it will be the worst DB unit Nebraska faces all season.

Their linebackers are built for the Sun Belt, meaning they have some quickness. But they are sacrificing size. The backers average 6'1 210 collectively. It will be the smallest linebacker corp the Huskers have played in years.

Their QB will be interesting. He's a giant and he can run. He could probably play as a Power 5 tight end or pass rusher, but wants to play QB. South Alabama will attempt to get both their RB and the QB out on the edge. That will be their rare hope for offensive success. I don't expect them to have any luck thru the air. Their QB has the arm talent of an athlete like Jamal Lord.

Huskers 52 - 17... And USA covers at +35.5

After the last 4 years I can understand why they would think that way. While we all follow the program with a fine tooth comb so we can see all the little things adding up. To fans or even recruits on the outside of huskerland they still imagine we are the same old team we have been. Yes, those past teams would give any fan base hope that their team can stay in the game and possibly get a win. Like I said earlier, if things are heading in the direction we all think it is, this game should be a blowout by half. But hey, let opposing fans, teams, and coaches underestimate us. :)

I think they cover but the game will never be close after the start. Breaking in a new qb in Lincoln on the worse team in the sun belt should equal trouble.

I just want a win to celebrate the season beginning...then watch college football the rest of the day.

Oh..and see the balloons let go.
