Might go Sunday but my friends didn’t want to spend money, I tried to tell them Nashville is fun without the basketball but they weren’t having it
Cats in the good bracket. I think we can beat all in our side of the bracket until Sunday. Potential Alabama or Missouri game would give us a chance to see if we have progressed as a team

Agree, A&M will be another great test, they are tough and will give Kentucky a physical game if they both make it, either way it should be a really fun SEC tourney

I would love to go someday. Maybe next year.
Besides UK is gonna be playing in a regional in Louisville this season. May as well save for that :)

My wife and I along with another couple have gone 10 straight years and wouldn’t miss going to Nashville SEC Tournament for anything. The bars on Broadway right actually from Bridgestone arena are a blast.

My brothers and I said Saturday win and go, lose and NO. So rooms booked, planning to scalp tickets.

The most fun thing is when they start playing rocky top and all the UK fans give them money to stop. 😆

Going to SEC as we bought tickets real early when it looked like we were going to be very good. Still looking forward to it as Nashville is fun and we'll take in some good games no matter how far UK goes. Will watch championship even if UK doesn't make it.

Going this year like always. But won't buy tickets this time because I don't trust this team enough to drop hundreds to watch them stand around and look confused.

None of our friends go anymore. All say Calipari has ruined what used to be a fun weekend. We all went for years and had a blast but, many have lost interest in the program as a whole. These aren't casual fans that Calipari has run off either. SEC tournaments, Final Fours, Regionals, etc.

Wow! That’s a very telling statement of BBN’s mindset towards the program. I’m sure it’s going to show up in attendance and financially.

There were only 7 or 8 of us depending on the year and site. But, we aren't outliers. There will still be a good UK crowd in Nashville. Although, I expect Bama and Tenn fans will make a strong showing too.

This is what I had said about CCC a few years ago. I noticed a lot of people that were lifelong fans and heavy supporters of the team dropped off in their rabid support of the program with Cal at the helm. they had enough of him a long time ago and have been gone, with little hope of them ever coming back to support the team as they used to.

I don't blame them.

Some would say that is "good riddance" but I see it as a systematic failure of the program as a whole, to have lost such die hard fans that I would have Never THOUGHT WOULD SIMPLY FOLD.

This year the tide turned, with only the die hard nut huggers still desperately wanting Coach Cal to "guide" this program.

I think it best for him to go ahead and leave. Let a more able bodied man take over.

It's time.

I’ll be curious how Bama fans travel for it this year. I remember going to the title game in 16, when Tex AM was the 1 seed. They hardly had any fans in the building for the title game. I remember one of their players even said something like where the hell are our fans, we were the 1 seed.

I do think every UK fan should try and attend an SEC championship game, it’s a blast.

I booked my flight a couple of months ago at a time when I was pretty down on our team, to tell the truth. Nashville for the tournament is such a good time even when we don't have the best chance of winning. I definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn't been before. But now that we have some serious hopes my state of mind going in is more business than pleasure and I'm actually nervous.

SEC is still and always will be a football conference. Heck, the Finebaum show was already doing Spring practice previews on Monday. The SEC-T seemed to be much more important to the conference 20-25 years ago. Of course that was before all the really big TV contracts that revolved around football. It just doesn't seem like the SEC administration doesn't put a lot of effort into the event these days. Kinda like they only do it because they have to.

It will be all UK. Like always. If UK is not in the title game the upper level in Bridgestone will be empty.
