Yes and no. We have Linemen, just under coached and bad weight training IMO. look at all the young talent on the OL. Raridon, Wilson, Bando, Jaimes etc. Can’t wait for new coaches and training staff to get ahold of these guys.
Hope we can lock up Daniel Carson. He and Wildman are ideal 3-4 DE’s.

Every offense is infinitely better with a dominant offensive line ... but this type of offense at least gives you a chance if your o-line can just be average.

We have linemen.. I swear people have been ringing this bell for 4 years and looks at what we are in desperate need of, DBs and WRs..
Young??? 4 of the 5 starters are going to be redshirt SR and gone after next year. And we’ll all be glad, but do you think the guys you mentioned are better than the starters? Why didn’t they start? We need an overhaul

Didn't Cav say in just about every interview he was hard on his lineman, but he loved them harder? As time went by, every time he said that it grated my nerves like nails on a chalkboard.
More concerned about the DL. Just don't see a lot of talent there. Think we stay 3-4, as the guys we have, are more than likely gap fillers. Would rather work on the Lbs and just beef up what we have up-front to occupy blockers.
Also, I think it is easier to turn around a bad OL. Cav sucked so bad. And the stars we have at OL should lead to vast improvement on that side of the ball. GBR

And D-line. Sorry, but the 2 years he was here his guys produced at record-low levels.
DL is the toughest spot, because you can't hide athletic weakness. It gets exposed.
Our OL was so inept last year, had to be coaching, to a large extent.
Cav = Diaco = Cosgrove.
I don't have to call out names, but yeah. Players mostly to blame. Look at the tape. Zero push up front.
I know people like to bag on Parella, but he didn't have much to work with, IMO. Never really had a chance to show his stuff.

Former husker player now coaching: he was good, players sucked
Outsider coach with half less than half the time on staff: purely a coaching issue.
Diaco couldn't even coach his scheme to the coaches and it trickled down to the coaches teaching it too the players.. Asst coaches must have thrown out their hands because Diaco couldn't teach the scheme to them.
Which is why I see us in a 3-4 next year, with "Space Eaters" up front, and Frost working on the 4 Lbs to disrupt.
Widman should redshirt if so. Needs to gain weight. Let the guys already here take up blockers. I see much more potential talent at LB, especially coming off redshirt. GBR
A freshman would have to be awful talented to crack the two deep the DL right out of HS. Davis, Davis, Freedom, Thomas, Mick, Stille, Daniels.
Stille needs love. He is talented. Not sure if DE or OLB in a 3-4. Much respect.
Thomas is solid rush DT in a 4 man front.

I don't think Phillip deserves this. He knows what he's doing but his hands are tied if the guys aren't held accountable for actually doing the work.
