Nice to get a win.
Let's acknowledge that ND is meh team, and at the level Rutgers plays, UNLV a weak one..
But I think we also have to acknowledge that 2nd half of ND and UNLV game in its entirety were the best we've played. Contributing to this were a bunch of things that will come and go (some which won't too often be repeated), but also contributing were things that should remain, and in that I'm referring to team play. On both ends of he court we simply seemed to know what we were doing. Offensively we seemed to be more purposeful and play more of a team-game--not all iso. Similarly, on D, We did a better job, especially, I thought in defense near the rim. Props to players and coaches.
Biggest shout-out to EO for his hard work. If we can get something like 12/9 from him and that really solid help D on a regular basis, it'll be a big help.
I'm not ready to throw the towel on the European so I think we'll see a battle for minutes between them, Buchanan, and Nwuli--with Buchanan and Nwuli having the edge now off yesterday's strong performances.
You can't predict anything but 0-2 against Purdue and Mich. Seton Hall becomes a big but difficult swing game. We've got to come out of the two B1G games improved and with our our morale unbroken. Could be a very telling game. Then take care of our two end-of-year games.
