NW is blowing out Nebraska at the half. Nebraska is shooting 3-28 from the field at halftime. Can't remember seeing a ranked team look so bad.

NW is playing a very tight man defense and Nebraska can't go inside or drive. Is their defense that good or is it matchups? When they do get open looks many of the shots are way off target.

I am not seeing anything from NW offense that would give us trouble next week, and we can beat their defense with our athleticism.

I am rooting for Nebraska so we can have some separation from NW. Again, Nebraska looks ridiculous out there.

NW holds off Nebraska 59-51

So now we really have to win out because there is a 3 way tie for 4th place

NW really concerns me. First they have an excellent coach. And, having played Stringer many times, they both know each other very well, tendencies etc. He will have his team ready to do some damage by counter-acting Stringers moves. However I think our speed, balanced scoring and athleticism will win out.
Should be a good one.

There are so many reasons that it's important for the team to win out in the regular season.

Northwestern has an almost automatic loss coming to Maryland so even if they beat RU and RU wins its other two games, RU will finish ahead. Minnesota has Iowa again and Ohio State has Iowa. Have to root for the Hawkeyes in both I guess but if they lose both and RU wins out, then RU finishes 2nd. Still an Iowa win over Minny pushes them down and RU would finish ahead.

Nebraska looks done, and we can't expect any help from them. I am still holding out hope for Iowa, although they sure didn't look sharp against Minn. If Iowa plays like they can, and beats OSU and Minn, we are in good shape. However as the last week has shown, we need to take care of our own business. We can definitely win these last three and not leave any room for error.
