I saw where their preason ranked at 8. What do they have returning? Are they going to better than what they have had the 2 previous years?
I agree. Although I don't see anybody in their conference beating them maybe north edgecombe.I don’t see how they will be any better than last year
I'll eat my crow with a slice of humble pie if proven wrong, but I believe the absolute best opportunity anybody in the east had at beating Tarboro under the current realignment was the fall of 2021 and last year. Tarboro has been very young the last two seasons but with the talent I have seen coming up through Tarboro it's gonna be very difficult for a team in the east to beat them. I think the only team I could see beating Tarboro right now is Riverside with them merging with south creek.Serious? Does tarboro have any challengers at all in the east? Or is it guaranteed they will be in title game like usual.
They had a very good running back on that team that was a handful to deal with. He was a Jr so he will be returning. That final score would have been worse. Tarboro had the ball inside the rosewood 5 yard line but had a fumble on a play that should have been blown dead. Tarboro had another scoring opportunity at the end of the half but several controversial penalties took place and ended that drive. I think they'll be solid this season I don't see them beating Tarboro though.Rosewood going to be any good this year? According to max preps they were only down 15 to 7 to tarboro at half in eastern finals game. Or was that a fluke. I know final was 35 7 but hanging around for a half is pretty good vs tarboro
Riverside will be solid and that should be a home game if i'm not mistaken. From my point of view last year was the weakest 1A team that Tarboro has fielded. The special teams and linebacking core wasn't up to par for them. Also it seemed like you could run the ball on them better than years past. Not taking anything away from the State Champs they were a good solid team.I'll eat my crow with a slice of humble pie if proven wrong, but I believe the absolute best opportunity anybody in the east had at beating Tarboro under the current realignment was the fall of 2021 and last year. Yeah that'll be a home game this year. Idk if I would say it was the weakest tarboro team in 1a. 2013 and 2014 probably were imo. Special teams was a struggle all year last year though for sure. Best believe other teams will try to do what Mount airy did last season against Tarboro this season.Riverside will be solid and that should be a home game if i'm not mistaken.
