Would be nothing more then a temporary bandaid! Would stay 3 years max, then the old headaches would start. We need a proven winner that WANTS to be here for the long haul! Otherwise in 5 years we're back to rebuilding again. Personally I would definitely make Zac Taylor say no. After that go nationally for the head hunt.

If we land UM and he stays for only 3 years, assuming he turns us around, I'll take it. He sets this thing up for the next HC by making us relevant and a destination again.

After urban is done in 3-5 years, the next coach wouldn't be rebuilding, he’d be reloading. Anyone who says no to urban is a fool.

Agree. I can't get why fans care what a coach does in his personal life. As long as he isn't breaking any laws I could care less. I don't care how much a coach makes, I'm not writing the check. Give him a 3 year $100 million dollar contract. I want to win.

Guys urban would be a home run but it’s not happening. He goes where he can get premier talent. You’re ad needs to find a guy that can win in you’re setting. It’s going to be tough. Where are you going to recruit your base. Campbell makes sense recruiting in a similar environment. Stoops makes sense. And actually O’Brien makes sense. Get a qb a couple wideouts and a couple tight ends

I'm with you. I don't care if he's banging a new woman every night in public on the Memorial Stadium jumbotron if it means Nebraska becomes relevant again.

I wouldn't say no to Urban Meyer but won't be on any bandwagon to get him as the coach either.

However it would be nice to have a proven and elite coach step in and take the reigns while getting the program back on track.

I think Urban would have interest if we approached him, but Trev is going to settle instead.

I think Zac Taylor would be awesome but you’re on acid if you think he’s leaving his marriage for this stinky hooker

That's actually fine. You know why. He hires top notch assistants and recruits 5 star talent. Then you can confidenty hand the reins over to one of his protege. It's no accident that Fickell, Day, etc were all from the Meyer coaching tree.

He cpached at Bowling Green and Utah and turned both into winners. Utah in 2001-2003 wasn't exactly dripping with 4-5 star talent. The guy just knows how to put a program together and goes out and gets the players he needs.
