Agree with NCBuck. Pre and early season this was said by many including Dana to be the deepest and best, complete team in the Holg era at WV. It was said this roster was a complete BXII roster after years of building BXII quality depth. After the PR spin subsided and after another season played out we're 4-5 in the BXII & 15-21 in league play over four wasted seasons. 7-5, 4-8, 7-5, 7-5 is zero improvement & nothing that's earned more on top of the guaranteed $17M being paid out. Other coaches are shown the door after achieving more, but the Luck-Dana deal has sealed the program's fate over recent years. Tis what it is. Smallwood salvaged this season & propelled them to 7 wins along with a D that got back on track in November. One day the football program will return to its historical winning tradition. WVU is not the 1st or last to rise, fall to all time lows and rise again.
