Yep… that’s pretty much their M-O.Typical NJ.com strategy, build/set a ridiculous pie in the sky expectation and then kill you if you don't achieve it. If you don't achieve it RU fails again is the next article, if you do I'm brilliant I predicted that. How about one game at a time and see where that takes us.
Jake you've read NJ.com before! LOL!Typical NJ.com strategy, build/set a ridiculous pie in the sky expectation and then kill you if you don't achieve it. Taxiing for takeoff y'all, woot woot! Link to live flight tracker:update to my own post:
Looks like college gameday bball has been in studio since COVID , BUT is returning to campus next week and is planning to remain hosting the Sat morning show on campuses for the remainder of the 2022 season!
Guys - we have a legit shot for that Sat game vs MSU.
We lost to Lafayette. UMass. DePaul. We can lose to any of the teams mentioned. The key is to bring our defense (even after a game where shooting goes well like Nebraska) and cut down on the turnovers.Beating Minnesota coming off COVID, Maryland at home (who we already beat), Nebraska (already beat, winless in conference, sucks), and Northwestern (2-5 in conference) is pie in the sky?
There is literally no fan that is only looking at one game at a time.
ESPN will perform the ratings metrics and then select DukeOther games we would compete against on Feb 5th for gameday:
#17 Illini at Indiana
#25 Uconn at #11 Nova
#2 Auburn at Georgia
#15 Iowa St at #23 Texas
Michigan at #4 Purdue
#5 Baylor at #7 Kansas
#14 MSU at Rutgers
#16 USC at #3 Arizona
#6 Duke at UNC
#1 Gonzaga at BYU
#9 UCLA at AZ ST
Would be pretty tough to beat the highly ranked vs ranked and "brand name" match-ups of Baylor at Kansas, USC at AZ, Iowa St at Texas, or ESPNs usual love-fest of Duke at UNC
No one said we couldn't lose. But it's not "pie in the sky" to think that we could beat the 4 worst teams in the league who have a combined conference record of 4 wins and 24 losses. We lost to Lafayette. UMass. DePaul. Exactly. These are the most winnable games on the schedule. We should want all of them. No let downs. Bring it every night and go on a conference winning streakNo one said we couldn't lose. Different team now …We lost to Lafayette. UMass. DePaul. We can lose to any of the teams mentioned. The key is to bring our defense (even after a game where shooting goes well like Nebraska) and cut down on the turnovers.
