Still not sold they aren’t in.. if they win 2 in the ACC tourney the second one is likely UVA again.. another quad 1 they’ll be back on the bubble big then they get state or VT and we know how nc st rolls over for them
You're right. Any other team would have to win the whole thing, but their name and being preseason number one gets them in with a couple of wins in the ACC tourney.

As much as I hate to say it I think UNC is in the tourney. Their name, number one preseason rank and run last year get them in. It’s a ratings grabber for the NCAA. Just a hunch.
I’m as big a Duke fan as anyone here. I wonder if roles were reversed would we get in for the same reasons? And I wonder what I would think about it??

We may be playing them again in the ACC finals - uva and state will roll over for them.
Let's hope they don't get the chance and BC beats them like a Cherokee drum.
We are all assuming Cheats win game 1. Assuming BC wins vs Louisville, BC could beat the Cheats. Drop kicked UVA, lost to a “hot” GT. And it seems like a team who get a game under them, especially a 10-15 game (look at 2021 for us), that 10-7 game is ripe for upsets.

^I think even Cheat fans would disagree with your stance. Subjective opinions have far less bearing on selection criteria than some believe.

Let us just put it this way. If the fat lady didn't start to sing, she for sure stood up, cleared her throat and grabbed the mike.
Nothing would make me happier than them in the NIT. But I still say 2 more wins (that would be 21) will get them in the play in game at least. It seems like MSU gets in with 12 losses every year. Although MSU usually plays a tough schedule.

Them beaches got to run the table . They have beat nobody and had too many bad losses. Their one quad1 win was against an overrated UVA team. I’d give a sliver of hope if they make it to the championship game.
The question is is we run the table what seed we will get. A 3 will be plausible.
The quad 1 win vs UVA is in danger of becoming a quad 2 win.
