Out of the box idea for RU basketball NIL. Hire Maria Harper as a special assistant to Men’s and Women’s Basketball in a similar fashion to Steph Curry at Davidson. Her Role would be to provide guidance to players and their families (she’s done a pretty good job with her boys) but most importantly she would be responsible for establishing NIL opportunities within her network. Who is better to help raise NIL funds for Rutgers in the world of Basketball than her? Yes, RU needs a team to work with local corporations and that is being developed but RU needs to approach the NBA angle with Maria while Dylan is on the way up. She may not want to take that role. She has a lot going on with her boys and I’m sure she has other opportunities. It seems like an avenue that needs to be taken and we know she loves Rutgers. Feel free to tell me how good or bad of an idea it is.
