Go right ahead...no one will miss you!!!TIME TO LEAVE
You must love losing by big scores. You must like not being able to recruit.$700k can be better used.Go right ahead...no one will miss you!!!
A lot of RU fans are just very frustrated. And for me and many others, that frustration is the belief that Hobbs (Ath Dir) probably will not terminate CVS at the end of the season. And CVS's ego will not allow her to do the right thing for the future of RU women's BB and resign. I know it is a hard thing to admit your time is over, especially when every TV announcer and color commentator hails you as almost a mystical figure, who can do no wrong.Go right ahead...no one will miss you!!!
This line I don't agree with. The opinion part of it, where you would argue they are wrong and I honestly have no idea, is whether or not Vivian can do better - or any good at all - next year. These TV personnel and unfortunately (IMO) Hobbs, view the historical CVS and are blind to the real present day one.
You can talk about this till you're blue in the face, but those who want CVS gone and have been saying " replace Stringer" for years only think they are the voice of reason.it was posted very early in the season that victories were going to be tough to get this year. The 3 B1G wins we have were not expected by most supporters. A loss to a solid B1G very experienced team like Northwestern shouldn't surprise anyone. It does get tiring to see every thread on this forum turn into a diatribe against the Coach.
Agree with APKnight that next year will be better.
The men score 45 points in regulation and the women follow with 37 points. You can't make this up because its so difficult to watch.I understand shooting the ball is a skillset that not all players have but why does Rutgers have to be so unfortunate .The 3 point shot and the time clock have changed the way basketball games are played and Rutgers clearly is behind the times.Recruiting for both programs needs obvious improvement .game has passed her by...37 points will not win you games, has interest in the program ever been lower in history..dont think so

I would like to see them spend the $700k on a women's basketball coach who can relate to today's playersAs usual it all comes down to people wanting to spend WBB money someplace else. Do a little research on Title IX.
Tell me in the last 10 years have you ever heard one TV commentator ever criticize CVS. I love one scenario that has happened many a time. CVS makes a bad decision that the commentators don't even understand. Instead of being critical, they always say something to the effect that the mystical CVS only knows why this was a good decision. They make excuse after excuse for her. I am afraid Hobbs is under the same spell. This line I don't agree with. One complication is that Viv's over-arching scheme of how to coach basketball has not, so far as I know, changed over the years (neither does most coach's; you tweak the details). The thing is, this scheme is basically built on defense (partly dependent on more athletic players than the opponent, which is difficult to count on these days for anyone) and scoring just a bit more than the number of points you allow. It is ultimately "timeless" if more difficult than it was, but it certainly requires the right players. Of course, players who can score well help to make up for the shortcomings that might arise in the defense. It is, and has been, my worry that Viv may have a difficult time fielding a team to play her scheme or tweak it enough to match the folks she has.
But, I don't agree with your comment, because I think that Hobbs and the commentators do have a general idea of what is possible. If they are somewhat more optimistic than I feel (especially after some of these games) and lots more optimistic than you are, that's their opinion. But I don't think they are wrong that the possibility exists that the current CVS could have success.
She'll be back and maybe Hobbs knows what he's doing by bringing CVS back.Tell me in the last 10 years have you ever heard one TV commentator ever criticize CVS. Women's basketball in NJ is no where near the talent level to where it is in football or men's basketball or soccer or lacrosse. I don't think UConn has ever had a NJ player on their starting team.with a few exceptions she has done a poor job at recruiting NJ's best..yes yes there have been some, but good lord we are the state university, we should be getting more than some and really nothing lately
Yes UConn had Asha Jones from Piscataway.Women's basketball in NJ is no where near the talent level to where it is in football or men's basketball or soccer or lacrosse. I don't think UConn has ever had a NJ player on their starting team.

Two players from NJ that currently play in college, Iasia Hemingway graduated from HS 10 years ago & Lauren Mincey around 7 years ago, like I said not alot of top talent in NJ. Good Job remembering Asjha Jones who graduated from UConn 15 years ago, totally forgot about her.disagree with that...top NJ talent does not want to come here...How about Mabrey who went to Notre Dame...what about Zaire O Neil from Shabazz the 12th rated player in the country who chose Ga Tech over Baylor, OSU, Georgia. RU wasnt even in the running. Mincy who went to Maryland. Hemingway who went to Cuse, Raven Farley Clark (2017) who signed with LSU. NJ may not be that strong but its not like we are getting NYC players either.
They do not want to play for her because of the style..who wants to play for a coach that does not stress offense and has stifled some trajectories.
Well she played in the Olympics too and won a gold medal, so I think she reached her potential. I just don't think she was as talented as some of her former UConn teammates, but a lot of players weren't as talented as her teammates.Asjha went on to the WNBA IIRC. Don't think she ever reached her potential.
So did the OSU. They took hew twin sister Chelsey, plus they made Kelsey Mitchell's father an assistant coach. Ashli can contribute as an off the bench player.Mincy graduated in 2015
Simmons and Richardson both got out of here..hmm
we took an scholorship on a player who is not on this level just to get her sister
So the idea is just to refute everything here and on every other message board. Man you could really use a life.Mincy graduated in 2015
