Now that NFL training camps are opening, I am looking forward to news surrounding teams and players of interest.

Adam Shefter reports this morning that Jets QB Justin Fields was carted off the field with a lower leg injury. If he’s out, Adrian Martinez could be the Jets starting QB.

If Fields is out, there is no way they would hand the season over to Martinez. They have plenty of time to bring in a starter and keep him on the bench. Would be fun to watch if he got handed the reigns though.

Jet's GM call to Cleveland - You got 4 QBs. We got AMart. My questions are which one and how much.

Don't forget about pervert Watson, one of the highest paid players in the league! They've got five QBs. And none of them are worth a damn.

Of course Neyor will make an NFL roster after showing hands of stone at key moments in a Husker uniform. What the lords of karma have against this program, I don’t know. Was firing Frank like desecrating some sacred burial ground?
Anything can happen of course, but this story out of SF camp is exactly why Texas and Nebraska took him. But that guy is just way too inconsistent for something like this to last. But he's a camp darling at the moment.

Fields is already back in 7 v. 7s. May be a full go within a week.

AM may see some preseason game snaps. Not looking like much else for now.

He’s getting a shot to put it on video this week. Playing well in a preseason game could find him a home.
The NFL has a ton of film on the guy already, but yeah, if he gets cut he will certainly find a 3rd team slot somewhere. At least until he messes up.

Apparently Shanahan doesn't have room for a guy who doesn't block, runs lazy routes and can't catch?
He had all the issues here that the scouting reports said he would when he transferred in. Our standard for WR has just been...so low for almost 10 years now. Key/Mills/Barney/Jones are a few of the first truly coveted guys - by major programs - we've brought in at that position in a while...Banks was wanted by MN and MI, but that was about it (Palmer is another exception)

If He does well this week Cleveland won't let him go...but then again they are Cleveland. Maybe they would...
