I knew it would never go to a jury, but I wish it had. All of the NFL's dirty laundry would have been exposed.

That’s a huge number and very telling that the NFL would settle for that amount. It definitely implies damaging facts exist.

The presiding judge, federal appeals court, and the Missouri Supreme Court all stated that enough evidence of fraud on the parts of Kroenke and NFL existed, the motion to divulge their financial information to the plaintiffs was granted and upheld.

If this thing had gone to trial, beginning on Jan. 10th, the NFL and Kroenke would have come out looking very bad and possibly would have been susceptible to other civil and criminal action.

It will be interesting how the region handles that windfall, after the lawyers take their cut there's about 500 million left over. It's been funny watching our local sports anchor beat up on Kronke over the last few years.

I'm happy to see St. Louis get $790M out of this. They don't get their team back, but this is something.

The real fun and games begin now. Kroenke indemnified the other owners from financial liability incurred through settlement or judgment. A few weeks ago, when it became clear he would have to settle or get raped in court, he told the other 31 owners that they are also on the hook for the payment to St. Louis.

I can't wait for that lawsuit.

The second time folks in St. Louis got big money out of a league for moving/folding a team--look up the end of the ABA.
