I hate talking about next year, but if we can keep this team largely intact and the get some big bad dudes on the OL and DL and add a corner, running back (keep EJ too with some hefty well-earned cash), and LB with a ton of NIL money, this team will be elite.

Shavers and Pietzrak are two very good young players for our defense. Jones has a lot of promise in the secondary. I am still no fan of the 3-3-5 but it is what it is. Damn we were so close last night. We still have a chance for a decent season. These kids will not give up. Last night you saw good effort. We need a win badly this week. If we get it, we stand at 7-3 and have a legitimate shot at 8-4. Lock Dana in a closet and make him say "run the damn ball" 6000 times. That is all.
Dana needs to install his offense or a new offense. Its not just execution. There are few plays called to clear space and hit a cross or dig. A lot of 50/50 balls. The run game is OK but its all EJ slipping through space for 5-8 yards. No counter plays where he is 1 on 1 on the edge.
Agree. We lost a ton next year. It’ll be ugly and then Dar is in the NFL and we’re back to being the tallest midget with our mid 3* roster.
The tallest midget….that sums up the competition in the big ten once you get past Ohio State Michigan Oregon and now include Indiana
