Did anyone else notice Newby not even trying to shed his block to make several tackles throughout the game?

No, I did see him try hard plenty early in the game, though. The hit on the TE comes to mind, I believe in the 2nd quarter.
Not sure he can PSU was just to strong for him. He is in way over his head. Don't agree on effort. Newby plays hard. Just never been quick fast or physical. Young is the same way too. We need a huge upgrade in LB talent for a 3/4 It's as simple as that. I actually felt Newby played he's best game of the year made several open field stops something he's struggled with usually.
