How would you stack up the class of newcomers on the team vs. the guys from last year who no longer play for us (due to graduation, transfer, etc)? Do you think we'll be weaker or stronger in different areas because of the new guys?

Without comparing specific players, I expect improvement on the offensive end as I think all 5 players on the floor will participate in the flow of the offense. I also think we are stronger on defense by the additions of Diallo, Freeman, Laurent and Sanders.

I don't know how you can get an answer to that until we've seen them play 4-5 games.

I look at it like this:
Jack's play last season didn't make him an irreplaceable player, his talent will be hard to replacebut not impossible .
Mack was a force for the MBB team because of his enthusiasm and attitude, making the most out of his talent he could. But his game had a few holes even he couldn't overcome no matter how hard he tried to , so with a true PG in there to distribute the ball, RU's offense might improve enough not to miss Mack's O that much.
But like TDI said, need to see the team play a few games this season in order to get an idea if this year's play will be better than last year's.

Mack and Jack had good skills on paper but BOTH were up and down...with Mack having way more UPS with the teams that didnt figure him out and put a taller guy on him rendering him ineffective at times. Jack was just a moody guy whose BEST game made you wonder if he had played in the previous 3 games where he disappeared. Neither of them seemed to get into the flow of a team game at times..............

We stand a good chance of having 7-8 guys who buy into the system and play together as a team and have a better team than last year.

that is my hope anyway

I totally agree. I am looking forward to tomorrow's practice to see all the guys in action.
