I didn't mind George Washington & Northern Kentucky at all, but it's easy to go a bit too far. All you have to do is compare those two schools to UNLV to see where that fine line ends.

I hope they’ve set up a GoPro camera to capture a timelapse video of the creation of the new design.

Really good idea! hope it happens! I also hope they consider some of the players' ideas in the
design...Sounds like something Konkol might do........

We now know the court is outlined in TU Blue and the Floor seems Gold with a red flag in the middle but the blurred image released shows nothing else. ( Except the "Doug Wojcik Court" Script )

It’s on Coach Konkol’s Twitter. I’m sure that will be a Hurricane warning flag in the center and no Doug Wojcik court.

I like the skyline part. Noticed that men’s soccer jerseys also had the skyline. Ties us to the city. Smoo does the same thing. The swirly hurricane part not so much.
Someone suggested on Twitter that the swirly hurricane be added in the middle of the football field as well.

Oh, and another thing. I never liked the colored part inside the 3-pt line. Glad that's gone.

So I got a closer at the video this time on my laptop, and it appears that unlike the rendering, the skyline and swirly are lighter/ natural wood, while the rest of the floor is slightly darker. It looks much more subtle than the drawing. Kendall approves
I agree that the actual court looks better than the rendering. The skyline and swirl aren't nearly as stark a contrast as in the render.

That's the only difference between George Washington/Northern Kentucky and UNLV. Mission accomplished.

The skyline is ok. The buildings are a bit weird. Can’t tell what is up with the BOK tower which is square topped And the tallest of them all. Some of the smaller buildings are just shapes that dont really exist in the skyline.

I’m shocked you don’t like it. Shocked!
Why am I not surprised that you do? I guess the defense of Haith for years just goes to show that you're willing to put up with suboptimal products. Why not just go all out if you're bungle the skyline. Put the Empire State Building or the Burj Khalifa on there.

But he's not being negative, again.

Shuffle it off on huffycane, or whomever.
Meh. If you don't want me to criticize then do things the with care and attention to detail. I'm tired of half assed products put on our floor. (Literally and figuratively)

Maybe I only care because I actually grew up in Tulsa and the skyline is familiar and special to me. If you're going to make it a collage of multiple significant pieces of architecture (which looks like what they tried to do) then make the significant ones stand out independently. If you're going to try to make it a real perspective, then actually use a real perspective (which I don't think the one on the floor is).

You complain about everything, and can't figure out why people keep pointing it out.

It doesn't have to do with care and attention. You will find something to complain about regardless.

Maybe you might think about proofreading your posts to determine if they are complaints for awhile. I don't post 2 posts out of every dozen posts for similar reasons. I think you do it constantly, partly out of stubbornness. I say this knowing that pointing this out will make you even more stubborn, if possible.

You have some of the nicer more mild mannered guys on this board chiming in from time to time, and you still don't get it.(I'm not one of those guys.)

If Manning was still the coach and his ex-players from the greatest team ever were helping coach, Aston would be thinking that this floor was incredible.
