What is your issue with her coaching..just curious
To be honest - the success never equaled the hype, especially during her time at St. John's. Then, at Michigan, from 2013 to 2017 she was 4 times in the WNIT. Of late, she has looked better.
It was always the conference records that mostly concerned me, her teams at St John's and Michigan fared better OOC than in conference, at St. John's she had a losing conference record. Her teams have always seemed "good", never great. The last 2 years, Sweet 16 (her first) and Elite 8 this year (her first) were her best 2 finishes.
That said, she has a number of solid coaching years ahead of her and is a known commodity with NJ connections. Hiring her away from Michigan would in fact be quite a coup for Rutgers. I'm still not sure she would be my first choice - maybe, but not sure.
