I'm old enough to remember that 1995 team revolting against Coach Nee, skipping practice and demanding that he be fired. Tyron Lue and Bernard Garner were the only players who didn't turn against Danny. Dollar Bill Byrne put and end to that pretty quickly. Amazing that the team was still able to function enough to win the NIT.

I used to love going to Danny Nee basketball camp. Watching Pike drill 3s. Jamar Johnson asked me in an elevator where I got my Tim Hardaway sneakers. Loved watching us beat Jacque Vaughn and KU, and Steve Smith and MSU

Some of those KU squads were absolutely loaded with NBA talent
