I’d go no tight ends with mills and Washington next to Martinez and spielman Robinson and noa at wide receivers b. Try covering all those options

fullhouse backfield, pistol form

Martinez with Mills and Washington to each side, Wandale behind

Twin WR set of Speilmen and Stoll (For quick screen or fake quick screen)

Run every play either as a designed run, read, or RPO

I think I would prefer the no TE look with Mills in the backfield. Martinez, Mills, Washington, Robinson, Speilman, and Noa... that’s a lot for any defense to account for. Considering the tempo Frost wants and the speed of those guys (especially Washington, Robinson and Speilman) I would argue this is the most speed/talent that we’ve had at the skill positions in a long, long time.

You are correct except I would take it a step further... I can never remember this much speed and I go back about as far as any here... Bob Father and T.O. were predicated on power (Husker Power) yes we had some speed in the 90's but Frost is rebuilding the power and adding speed. It is a fun time to be a Husker..

I'd keep TE in there. I think the authors point was that the formation is so versatile that defenses will have a hard time if they're not allowed to sub based on match ups. Unless you think Mills is a better pass catcher.

I'd keep him in, not to catch passes but to protect our golden goose
