...knocking out one or two BigTen teams from making the NCAA tournament. Many good BIG teams are now a “bad” home loss from being knocked out.

Maybe, maybe not. Nebraska played like they’ve been coached for THIS game since we curb-stomped them. We played like team - 90% of the day - “hungover” from the Iowa loss.

Troubling about the 31-11 outburst by Nebraska... the D must have been taking an early shower

Fans need to view things in reverse. Avoiding the bad loss is just as important as the win.

And I will state again, Nebraska is a dangerous and capable opponent and that road win in January is being viewed by most of the fanbase and posters here as some foregone conclusion.

If we had Nebraska in late February on the road, after you saw today's game, would anyone be thinking that's a layup??

They beat Iowa on their home floor and also Purdue.

It's unfortunate that we suddenly believe Northwestern and Nebraska aren't capable of winning games. If RU doesn't play well, it can lose to anyone that can knock down shots. We were the inferior opponent going to PSU, NW and #22nd ranked Iowa last year for road victories.

You cannot fall asleep on anyone....and sweeping Nebraska and taking care of business at home is still THE path towards success.

Scan the B1G standings and there's a lot of 1 loss records at home and a lot of 1 or 2 win column records on the road.

RU could have blown them out when the lead got to 15 in the 2nd half.
I still maintain that if they feed the post more they'll have fewer scoring droughts than when they're chucking threes.
And shooting threes is not an RU strength. That guy in the post IS.

Which is exactly why Nebraska played the defense they did. Take away our big man, and dare us to beat them with the 3.

They were going with the hack a Myles strategy if we tried that. Let Myles miss free throws as much as possible

At the end game when it was tied I said to Mike Palko who sits right behind me that I thought Nebraska might foul Myles. I am grateful Geo hit the big shot. He agreed with me that they might.

In BAC’s post game analysis, he hit it spot on that this Nebraska squad is exactly how we were several years ago in Pike’s first year

Not much talent but good coaching up will keep us in games, play competitive and steal a few games.

Agree but they were packing it in real tight and also doing a great job running out on our 3’s. We were executing the skip pass well early but they picked off like 3 in a row which is when they took the lead. Agree with the OP that’s a team who can knock off anyone if they hit their shots.
