Nebraska has currently tied the NCAA record for, chok....most 1 score defeats for a season
We have 1 game left, vs quiet the rainbow state
Will we break the all time NCAA record? y'all make the call

We are practicing well, moving around well, and martinez is a special guy.

Run the ball, stop the run, win the game.

I blame myself for this strange record. Years ago I prayed that the Huskers be more competitive in the B1G. I should have been a lot more specific and also prayed for a few W's sprinkled in among those competitive games.

If things shake out like they have all season against Iowa, Nebraska will now be the GOAT twice!!!
95’ Huskers the greatest of all time.
21’ Huskers the greatest 3-9 team of all time.

As a team that has been at the bottom of the big ten west:

are we getting good teams best shots or have we become the classic trap game opponent?

They also won 12-9-8-10 games the 4 years prior - including playing for a national title and playing in the fiesta bowl
Also, in that 2016 ND year they had 3 score leads in two games & two score leads in two other games they lost. They fired their DC (who is statistically the worst DC in ND history), then the OC, then the S&C coach, and has gone 55-9 since, including two CFP’s.

I find this amusing that Frost is forever linked with Riley considering how much he had bagged on Riley.

This team is alot like Riley’s first team. A pretty talented team that just kept finding ways to lose. But even that group found a way to win 6.

We're close
YES! Even if we lose on Friday, a loss by NW to Illinois on Saturday will guarantee us a 6th place finish in the BIG West. Would have the same 1-8 records but we won the head-to-head. Gonna be glued to that game if we can't pull it out on Friday.

Yeah notre dames 4-8 season was an outlier, not a stepping stone. They have won at least 8 games every seasom brian kelly has been there other than that year from 2010 on.

Notre Dame has been playing football for well over 100 years. I would be shocked if they have ever held onto a coach with a total of 4 losing seasons (non consecutive) during their tenure. I can almost guarantee they haven’t had anyone with 4 losing seasons in a row. In fact I would be surprised if they ever retained a coach who had back to back losing regular seasons
