Put Ramirez in at 133 if Figs wants to screw around. Good news for everyone else who lost is they’ve got another match today to get right. Pour it on the Wolfpack and remove heads from rectums.
We were not impressive. Spratley won easy with a major, I am getting sick of watching Figueroa already, out of shape, not a fighter and wrestles dumb but I don't want Jax to wrestle half a year. You should not give transfers much money specially someone who wrestled horrible last year. Let Ramirez take over and Figueroa can sit on the bench until he decides to get in shape. Solid win for Sergio, good on top, got the takedown later in the match. Swiderski got beat by a true freshman with the last second takedown, very disappointing. Got rode out the whole 2nd period. Robideau is a superstar and teched a weak opponent. Weak opponent but Landon destroyed him. Dee won but I don't like how he is wrestling. Very little aggressiveness in his matches while in neutral. One real good takedown. Facundo could do nothing in his match against Ruiz except keep it close. 184 was an insane match and Ryder should have won but he messed up giving up a takedown and never getting 1 himself. Ryder likely would have worked for a couple takedowns but because of his opponent bleeding the match was stopped before he got any of the takedowns. Merrill won a big match but did not pull away until late in the match. I thought this was a Doucette match from the past until the end. I keep wondering what happened to Merrill?. Doucette also pulls a way in the 3rd period and gets a major. Some individuals did good( Spratley, Vega, and Robideau) some did okay( Lockett, Merrill, Doucette, and Facundo and some did a poor job( Figueroa and Swiderski) and Ryder was such a crazy match I am not rating it but I was not impressed by Ryder. I hope we wrestle better or we won't make the semi's.

Missouri coaches should have asked that he be removed from Matside.
Exactly, he is on an opposing team not involved in the match. His a$$ can watch from the sidelines away from the teams or in the stands. For him to be directly matside during that match was ridiculous.

Here are my thoughts on Cornell dual:

125: Sprat looked very good. It is hard to find much to complain about with him, and I'm generally pretty good at finding stuff to gripe about.

133: He might be the best first period wrestler in America. I am irritated with him but also encouraged that his problems seem fixable.

141: Vega is fun to watch. As far as freshmen go, he looks awesome on the mat. He is on his way to creating some hard decisions for the coaching staff.

149: He was better than that guy, but when you're content to wrestle a one score match, you expose yourself to crap like that. He needs to bounce back in a big way.

157: Wow

165: He needs to develop his offense, but still looked tough.

174: Disappointing match from Facundo. He reminded me of Cam Amine out there and not in a good way.

184: I throw this one out. Idk what I even watched.

197: Good match. Hopefully will be a confidence builder for Cody.

285: Great job by KD to wrestle a full match and keep pouring on the pressure.

I mostly said this because I think it would be funny to rile up the Ferraris and see if it got in Angelos head during the match. It would have been great gamesmanship.

What are we thinking for NC State?

Spratley vs Robinson: 0-3
Figueroa/Ramirez vs Redding: 3-3
Vegas vs Jack: 3-6
Swiderski vs Buesgens: 3-9
Robideau vs Arrington: 6-9
Lockett vs Denny: 9-9
Facundo vs Singleton: 9-12
Ryder vs Cates: 12-12
Merrill vs Howle: 15-12
Doucet vs Ouellette: 18-12

Several coin flips. Don’t have the benefit of auto bonus points like we did last year w Wyatt and Dean. Troy can win but his upside is neutered by Robinson. Facundo, , Dee, Ryder and Merrill wrestle conservatively enough to make me sweat regardless of who they are wrestling. Ski is currently an enigma. Our most dominate wrestler right now (outside of Troy) is Landon and as good as he is, he’s still a true freshman. Hope to put the orange colored glasses back on after this dual:)

I could see Vega beating Jack. Idk how I feel about 133. Redding is a huge 133 and I can see Figs struggling with his size.

125: Spratley did what he was suppose to do against a game opponent. Looking fwd to the state match. He has nothing to loose. Just go out there and walk Robinson down because hes going to create distance with his feet

133: i gave him the benifit of the doubt against the Stanford kid but this one looked even worse. But I have come to the conclusion This is who he is and who he has been since the beginning of his college career. So up and down!

141: Vega is young and has potential but I need more matches to even put him in the the top 15. So far so good against lesser opponents. He has always struggle with guys with strength. Time will tell

149: he has to get out of his own way. Hes wrestling like his girl friend cheated on him and left him. I will take tagen or Teague if he doesn’t get back on his horse. Basset majored that kid. Wish we could have got that kid.

157: studzilla top 5 guy for sure!

165: he’s good but he seems to wrestles timid. I wonder if going against some of the guys in the room has made him change his offensive approach. Where are the doubles and singles?

174: he’s a solid wrestler but much like Ryder not explosive. Going to have a hard time finding offense against better competition. His neutral defense is top tier but his top and bottom work are areas of concern.

184: I’m sure he would have won but I want to see how he responds to this match. Will this linger in the back of his head will he have doubts about is he good enough to be in the top five conversation. Need more matches but like facundo he is a solid wrestler but is limited athletically.

197: hopefully he comes around. Needs a little more confidence and tank work. Front head is his position but timing still looks off

285: I am proud of this kid. I’m not sure he will win against the top 8 guys but Man he really has changed because last year he would have settled but he is actually a little more offensive and looks great.

Despite what I said on the other thread, give me Vega! I'll also pick Facundo and Robideau to win. I believe Troy can win as well, but I view this match as a learning opportunity
