I counted five games in the eastern bracket where lesser seeded teams won,,,two in the west. Not sure what that says and some of the “upsets” were close in seeding. There were plenty of very lopsided games. But it does make me poner the whole 64 teams versus 32 debate. I guess you could argue either way.
A lot of better games coming up this week. Will Mount Airy be tested by North Rowan & Draughn & Mitchell face off again ?
Time will tell if holds up but if there are serval competitive games next week I believe that would be a good case for nchsaa if they keep the same classifications next realignment and not add more to at least go to a 48 team bracket. I know it's a money thing but I really wonder last night how much of a gate did they get assuming the lower seeded team probably not bringing many folks and while I wonder how many home fans didn't go to a game they knew would be a blowout.
Just like to know what their 15% came to and if the gate helped any school I read one year a coach say that they lost money on home playoff games after sharing with the visiting team the nchsaa and paying the refs. Just wonder if they wouldn't at least be willing to drop the 8 extra games.

WSP probably had about 40 fans at our game. Swain side was thinner than normal, but still quite a few.
Mitchell had good home crowd even though not many SD had more than I thought they would. But I would think some where down but maybe not just curious.
And what gate money Swain made 15% off the top went to the nchsaa then half to WSP plus paid the ref. Sometimes the visiting school makes more money than the home school in playoff games.
I bet TJCA probably did. From what I saw I bet they only had 20 on their side.
They started losing and went dark as the Whipped *** Club.
I know that multiple members died. Met some back in the old Red Dog-Blue Dog heyday when they and Thomasville were wreaking havoc. They were good guys. Just passionate about their school, like many on here.
That sucks to hear. Always enjoyed reading their posts on here. I remember one of them was in bad health back years ago, but that's it.
