Hmmmm....going to be very interesting reading everybody’s takes on who the top five individual wrestlers are.

They gave a lot of respect to the older guys. When the first 4 time NCAA champ with one of those coming as a true freshman can't make the top 5, that is a tough crowd. (Pat Smith - for those of you form Rio Linda)

How come no one ever mentions Lee Kemp in these discussions?

3x NCAA Champion, losing only to Chuck Yagla in the finals, on a referee's decision no less. Only lost two other matches his entire career, all as a freshman.

Seems pretty legit.

hate to agree with you, but Kemp would be #3 on my list, behind Uetake and Sanderson.
