Watching tonight’s UCLA v SMU game. In the 2nd half Myles failed to recover to the basket on a pick and roll resulting in a layup. Cronin visibly yelled “fu@king *******” and immediately yanked Myles from the game. It made me thin that it must be a very different experience for Myles, who has not thrived in the Mitch Cronin system.

He was named to the P-12 all defensive team. That's not thriving?

That is impressive given he only plays 18 min a game. But if you look at his numbers, he is not thriving. The kid is probably happy being home and getting a great grad degree, which will matter more than basketball. I was just struck by the difference between Cronin’s demeanor and Pike‘s. And I don’t believe as stated in this thread that you have to berate your players to be a “big time” basketball Coach.

Two different coaches. I prefer Pike, but some players don't mind a hard *** like Cronin.
