1. Best game atmosphere I have been to since Louisville football game in 2006
2. FTs need work but we hit them when needed
3. Love how Pike uses all his players to get the best out of them
4. Players rally around each other every game someone new steps up. Today is was Mathis early keeping it from getting out of hand early
5 I fell like a parent watching my kids grow up in front of my eyes. Young, McConnel, Geo, etc etc...... amazing!
6, Did the refs get a memo to keep the game close?
7. Remind me again we are 14-4, 13-0 at home
8. Have to end on this, love how Pike and Greg are working with each other. Loved the “Come to Rutgers” chant directed at the recruits.

Let’s go boys......bELieve

The bench kicked ***.

22-7.

sending wave after wave of players wears opponents down, especially if they can’t expect a break on D. That’s why our D is so good. Constant pressure due to surprising depth. Opposing teams are getting no breaks.

I think that’s why opponents fans think “if only we played our game we would have beaten them”. They can’t get their heads around the fact that from 1-10 we are a better team than them even if their stars are better than ours.

Our depth is where you have to give credit to Pike, for showing patience with guys like Caleb last year and Jacob this year, and for giving Paul a chance to develop in real time with lots of minutes as a frosh.

The payback is that you build confidence and a deep bench. We are relentless, wearing teams down while our guys are better rested and always ready to give an all-out effort.

This and the fact that our guards are way too big and physical for opponents. That is what helps make our defense so good. When teams get a switch the guys are just as big and physical. Pike knows what he is doing.

So true. There are really no starters, just Team A and Team B.

Pin this post so we can all be reminded of this.

Minnesota's lack of depth hurt them - Pitino's game management kept them in the game as he slowed down the clock resting his players where he could.

Did I read correctly, 8 different Scarlet Knights have led the team in scoring for a game. Today Mathis tied for the lead. Hard for defenses to know whom to cover on a nightly basis

I think it goes beyond knowing who to cover. The problem is, no matter who you put your best defender (or defenders) on, we still have 3 other guys who can lead in scoring. There is simply not one guy to focus on. You can't beat us by just removing Geo or Ron from the game.
