Murphy O-line

Will Murphy’s o-line be any better this year then it was last year? They only lose both guards. What’s your thoughts?

Depends. There's certainly enough size and raw ability amongst Hamby, Willard, Thrasher, Chastain, Moss, Leatherwood and Dickey to put together a solid o-line but they badly need somebody that really knows line play to coach the line though, a few of those kids definitely did not have the season this past fall that their talent level says they should have. Laney's forte is D and him coaching the line and having big responsibilities defensively is too much on his plate anyway. Bottomline Murphy needs another quality assistant coach and the biggest specific area of need in that regard is a line coach IMO.

In 1-A football the offensive line coach is the most in demand position on the staff!

I heard the Hamby kid isn’t going to play.
