I'm on the bubble right and didn't think I'd be I've always figured the West just played for second place but after tonight not so sure. Plus before I vote I'll wait until they know for sure that the Tarboro QB ejection gets reversed as it sounds like it should be but you never know.

Thinking we are also going to be without our starting LB and Fb. Was number 10 against y’all last year. Believe he may have had a season ending injury last week

Mt Airy has all of the tools. They have speed, size and athleticism. I’m just giving my honest opinion here but their offensive scheme just takes to long to set up the run and I think Tarboro will be in their backfield before it gets going. MA can hit the outside edges with Rb & Qb and have success but I don’t see them going up the middle. Qb like most other in 1A needs to focus on the short passes 10 to 15 yd range instead of the long ball which didn’t look good against Draughn. Im picking MA in a close game but they will need some way of keeping Tarboro off balance

I was telling Deana that too. Most of the QB passes seem to float and not much zip. There was a pass before halftime where the receiver was open in the end zone, but by the time the ball got there, the D had time to close and disrupt it.

Mt Airy will win this game just as they have the others: With a complete shutdown defense, first; and second, with an offense that is just as effective. The Coaching staff will have then ready, hungry and determined to show they have earned a seat at the table.

40 people above thank Tarboro is unbeatable. Maybe they are and maybe they are not meant to win every year. May be close and could go into OT. The 2009 Bear team went to OT and BEARS lost by 1 after winning it all in 2008.
Going to be one hick of a game I think.

What is the link to those predictions? I have been all through Calprep and there are no predictions or a place to pick team matchups this year.

Your poll says who will win not who is “unbeatable”. Stop creating a nonexistent narrative. Using your logic, 36 people think MA is unbeatable.

The logic is there when the team I posted about wins every year but 1 in the last 6 or 7 years. So it has nothing to do with Mount Airy being unbeatable. MA is not a passing team and that team ES passed for almost 500 yeads to beat them. Tarboro says it will take a passing team to beat them. By the way, it is 45-34 now, and if you read my 1st post, I said I figured how the poll would go and you should have read into it my thoughts. It just is not as heavy the way I figured.

Nobody from Tarboro has said that. The only people I’ve seen say that are western posters.

If there was a metric to measure boastfulness and bragging, MA would win by a long shot. The MA faithful have posted ad nauseam about how good they are all year. MA fans have been writing checks their team has been having to cash all season.

Then if you are not even in NC or local conference, your words mean nothing to me ! ! And you have put several MA posters down. The last I saw was putting REWhitley down but you have your previous posts blocked to keep people from viewing your smart remarks. Conversation over !

I think I am responsible for saying a running team is unlikely to beat Tarboro based on the stats from prior championship games. I am not a Tarboro poster although I respect the heck out of them, their coach and their fans/posters. You can probably put what I know about football in a thimble. Sorry Tarboro if my post caused trouble for you.
